Life certificate reminder for pensioner parents (Jeevan Pramaan)

Every year, pensioners in India must give a life certificate to keep their pension coming. In 2026 the window is 1 October to 30 November for those aged 80 and above, and 1 to 30 November for everyone else. Miss it, and the pension pauses from December until it's done.

It's one small task a year, which is exactly why it gets forgotten. With OkayFolk you add "Life certificate (pension)" for your parent in one click. They get a reminder on WhatsApp, and you can see whether it's done, even from another city or country.

How it works

  1. Add the paperwork reminder

Pick "Life certificate (pension)" from the paperwork list. The date and note fill in for you.

  2. They get reminded on time

A WhatsApp message on the day. They tap Done once it's submitted at the bank, post office or with the Jeevan Pramaan app.

  3. You know it's handled

If it isn't marked done, you get a heads-up, so you can help before the deadline.
