A fair care schedule for siblings looking after parents

In many families one sibling ends up doing almost everything, and it shows. In a 2026 survey of 1,008 US adults by Bay Alarm Medical, 69% said they had argued with a sibling over a parent's care, and nearly half felt resentment over an unfair share.

OkayFolk Care Rota makes the plan visible. Decide who calls or visits on which day. Each person gets a reminder that morning and a nudge in the evening if it isn't done. Your parent sees "Today Riya will call you" on their own page, and everyone sees how the month is going.

How it works

  1. Invite your brothers and sisters

They join the family for free and see the same dashboard and alerts.

  2. Fill in the week

Call, visit, groceries or a medicine check, by day. Days follow your parent's timezone.

  3. Reminders do the chasing

No more group-chat nagging. Mark it done in one tap; covering for someone counts for you.

Questions

Do my siblings need to pay?

No. One family plan covers every guardian you invite, up to the plan's limit.

What if someone can't make their day?

Anyone in the family can cover and mark it done. It counts for whoever did it.

Does my parent need to do anything?

No. They just see who's calling or visiting today on their own page.
